Ode to Birkenville

Now there is a chat room at Birken,
where a chatter named HLime keeps lurkin'.
And the chatters all ponder,
and constantly wonder,
is this Leo somewhere just smirkin'?

It's incredible that we could meet
Irmelin, who was patient and sweet.
She gave us the facts,
but evaded, with tact,
requests for Leo to take the hot seat.

We met Felix, who's certainly charming.
And his directness sometimes is disarming.
But he brought Leo in,
along with a friend,
and the kudos he got were heart-warming.

And while that feat, for a short time, appeased us,
Felix continued his mission to please us.
For our sly cat you see,
had more tricks up his sleeves.
Jerry's return was a thrill, believe us!

These visits with Jerry are delightful.
And we make sure that this man gets his rightful
affection and praise,
for he brightens the place,
with comments that are down-right insightful.

Now when things seem to be status quo,
and where's Leo we all want to know,
HLime will come through
with a witticism or two.
And then as quickly as he came, he will go.

Now these Boys of Birken sometimes vanish,
and it's Jane and Susan who manage
to pick up their slack,
when they say "be right back".
But for Leo, we still remain famished.

And Vlad comes by to address us
about problems that seem to distress us.
With incredible patience,
he tells us of changes,
but it's still Leo for whom the crowd presses.

One day there appeared a new face,
who had taken our Felix's place.
Jubei makes us smile.
With him, things get wild.
Yet pleas for Leo, even he can't erase.

But Jubei knew how we could be won,
and he set about to get the job done.
He made the room merry.
He brought back our Jerry!
For he knows we love that Texas son.

When Zia appears, the room brightens
as she kindly tries to enlighten
It is a sure thing that she knows
our curiosity grows
with each day that there's no Leo sightin'.

When Jonah comes by it is pleasin'.
We enjoy all his stories and teasin'.
He even told us to hush.
We were talking too much,
'Cause his stories of Leo were freezin'.

Now we all know that Leo came twice.
And although brief, both visits were nice.
But, of course we all know
we'd never want him to go,
and daily visits might not even suffice.

Now it's certain each chatter would say
that these chatmasters brighten their day.
While we love all your friends,
and the fun never ends,
hey Leo, won't you come back and play?
